The Brentwood Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy’s Adult Jiu-jitsu program is taught by Professor Jeremy Akin. The program offers comprehensive fundamental and advanced instruction in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Professor Jeremy instructs students in both sport and self-defense techniques with a focus on “Drilling to Win”.
With a focus on tailoring training to the individual, Professor Jeremy guides students to achieving individual goals and milestones while learning the Art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. The instruction at Brentwood Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy stays abreast of new advances in in techniques, while incorporating the mainstay techniques. This method builds well-rounded Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioners.
The program has produced multiple skilled competitors and world champions in the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Tournament Circuits. Including, Stan Mabry, purple belt and 3 time IBJJF World Champion. Professor Jeremy's focus and vision has led Brentwood Brazilian Jiu-jitsu to become THE premiere Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy in the Nashville area!
Fundamental classes typically consist of instruction and drilling in the fundamental techniques in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. The student body make up of this class is a mixture of advanced students and novice students alike. The fundamental class program is a great way to introduce one’s self to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and is tailored for the beginner.
Advanced classes consist of advanced instruction and grappling game development for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioners. These classes include live sparring, also called rolling and situational sparring. The student body make up of this class typically consists of mostly advanced students who are focusing on developing a deeper understanding of techniques and innovations to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
